Working Together for an Environmentally Friendly Energy Supply

The Ganahl Group is actively committed to protecting the environment, improving energy efficiency, and contributing to climate protection through targeted measures. The Ganahl Group’s main energy sources are electricity and natural gas.

As part of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Ganahl Group is committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 compared to the base year 2021.

Measures to Achieve Objectives

To achieve our climate goal, we are focusing specifically on the following measures:

  • Electricity: In the future, our electricity consumption will be covered entirely by 100% renewable sources.
  • Thermal energy: Existing natural gas boilers will be gradually electrified. In addition, the planned waste-to-energy plant will cover a significant portion of the heat demand.
  • Promoting electric mobility: The vehicle fleet will be fully converted to electric vehicles, thereby gradually replacing diesel and gasoline vehicles.

Progress 2021–2025

The Ganahl Group has already made measurable progress:

  • CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 + 2): Reduction of -9.1%
